Amanda Smith, ADC-T

Amanda received her bachelor’s degree in social work with a minor in psychology, and certificate in addiction counseling from Bemidji State University. Amanda is now pursuing her master’s degree in social work from Grand Canyon University.

Amanda has experience working in adult outpatient and adolescent inpatient facilities specializing in substance abuse and dependence, recovery, and relapse prevention.

Amanda believes everyone has a unique story that is made up of a compilation of moments and hardships. Amanda believes that a positive, empathic, trusting and kind therapeutic relationship is a critical key between the client and counselor.

She also believes well-being goes beyond the therapy room in that an individual is made up of their mental, physical, and spiritual parts. Amanda’s hope as a therapist is to walk alongside each unique client (and their families) to support growth in all walks of life.

Amanda works with ages 3 and older in an individual therapy setting; she completes chemical use assessments; and provides supervised visitation.
